I spend many hours rewriting and editing what I have written but only because I plan on going all the way with my novel. It is a lot of work and I want my readers to enjoy what I write. Some of my writing is just free flowing also. I recently entered a contest and wrote a paper about my mother. If I win..great! If not, it was nice just to write like that and I can still share it with my mom:-)
