Author Bio

      
Tammy Holloway is a "Go Getter". Very ambitious and follows her dreams without fear, leaving no ruts in the process. If she has a dream, she pursues it. She spent most of her life in St. Cloud, Florida where she served as a volunteer for the community for several years. Her need to help others shines through with many of the places she gave her time to through the years. (See list below) She is a student at Keller Graduate School of Management Online and lives in Mineral Bluff, Georgia. She recently graduated from Devry University with her Bachelor’s Degree Magna Cum Laude. She is currently a member of The Georgia Writers Association, Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society and is also alumni to the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society where she served as Fellowship Chairman at Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She is a freelance writer working from her home where she creates many of her works of art. She began writing many articles for the City of St. Cloud Newsletter several years ago and has enjoyed writing as a hobby ever since. She started a radio show on the Internet in August of 2009 where she writes her own commentary. She is currently working on her first novel, which is a science fiction novel called "The Deep Freeze". She is a Navy veteran and received the Humanitarian award and the Right Hand Person award while in service along with accommodation letters from her battalion and served as a squad leader for her class in A school. She is currently living in Mineral Bluff, Georgia with her very supportive husband and two dogs. She entered her first writing contest on February 24, 2011 and found out on April 28, 2011 that she places in the top ten and is a published author. Click here for the link to the published work:  About My Mother
Volunteer Community Involvement
  • St Cloud Chamber of Commerce - Chairman of the St. Cloud Christmas Parade, Golf Tournament volunteer, Youth Events Coordinator for the Spring Fling, concessions for the Spring Fling, served on several committees throughout the years
  • Silver Spurs Rodeo - Served as an usher for several years during rodeo
  • St. Cloud Parks and Rec. - Assisted with the Hershey Track and Field and the Easter Egg Hunt
  • Give Kids the World - Helped with the horseback riding for the termanally ill children
  • US Navy - Helped the community cut trees off their houses after Hurricane Jorge in Gulfport, MS
  • Habitat for Humanity - Helped put on a roof for a family in need
  • Marine Life Oceanarium - Helped clean the tank of the underwater sea life while scuba diving and helped clean and seperate fish for the sea lions and dolphins
  • Laramie Raptor Refuge - Worked with owls, hawks, falcons and eagles rehabilitating, force feeding, cleaning and handling while also educating the children about birds of prey
  • Blog Talk Radio - She started a radio show for dog lovers that offers helpful tips called The Puppy Whisperer and continue to maintain the site for other people to enjoy past shows
  • Gorilla Haven - Helped keep groups together for tours of the facility and also did yard work
  • Feed Fannin - Helped build the garden for the organization and some computer work
  • Juvenile Alternative Services Project – Helped with the supervision of juveniles on various projects in an effort to clean up after events like the air show in Kissimmee

      • Osceola County Courthouse Victim Assistance Program – Served as an advocate for victims of domestic violence
      • Children's Miracle Network - Answered phones at a telethon
      • All Children's Playground - Helped build a playground for the children in the community
